Michael Evola 
Vice Chair

Michael Evola serves as Vice Chair for the TreesUnion Board of Directors.  Michael is a dedicated community leader and public servant with an extensive record of service in Union County. His commitment to putting service above self is reflected in his work with local and state government, as well as numerous nonprofit organizations. Michael has served in roles requiring strategic planning, advisement, community engagement, public policy, and leadership skills.

 

His experience includes work with Union County Human Services, the Rotary Club of Waxhaw-Weddington, and the Union County Chamber. Michael has also been appointed by the Governor to serve on the North Carolina Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and the North Carolina Statewide Independent Living Council.

 

Having lived most of his life in Union County, Michael's upbringing in the small southern towns of Waxhaw and Indian Trail has shaped his appreciation for community. His family instilled in him the values of leadership, service, and neighborliness from an early age. As a leader, Michael is committed to ensuring that Union County provides opportunities for people to prosper for generations to come. He believes in collaboration, coordination, and communication to bring the community together and create positive outcomes for the future
